A Sea of Bluebells

552 ha (or 1.360 acres) of forest and bluebells: that is the best way to describe the Hallerbos.

As the name suggests, the forest is located in Halle, not far from Brussels. The famous bluebells are in season from mid-April until the beginning of May and attract tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Lars and I had been here before but after the bluebell season. This time we were luckier.

You can reach the forest by car, but it is highly recommended to come by train and a free shuttle bus or by train and bike.

Volunteers distribute free maps and answer your questions in 3 languages: Dutch, French and English.

Very beautiful places in such landscapes you can understand how great the creator of nature and that a person simply can never create such beauty on his own.
