Driving In The Black Forest

During our camping trip in August, Lars and I went on a day-trip in the south of the Black Forest. It was a lovely sunny Sunday and we had planned to first have a coffee in Titisee-Neustadt. Unfortunately, there were so many tourists around that we couldn’t park the car. Another time perhaps…

We continued east and in Donaueschingen, we had more luck. This lovely town has one major attraction: the source of the Donau. And in case you don’t know where the river is located, there is a map! By the way, this is a popular spot, so there is no way to avoid people taking selfies…

Although I would like to have taken a picture of the Titisee (the lake) earlier that day, I was really happy with the smaller but less touristic Schluchsee. It was equally picturesque and at least here we could go for a (short) walk.

We continued to the southwest. Lars and I had been in Todtnau before, so this time we focused ourselves on the surrounding countryside.

Staufen im Breisgau had long been on our bucket list. A visit to the church of this lovely village near Freiburg is a must. And check out the cafes and restaurants!

We didn’t photograph all the places we saw that day, but we did make a video. Keep an eye on our YouTube channel!
