Coo – The Waterfall And The Mist

In this post, we take you to one of the most touristic places in Belgium.

Coo is a small town in the province of Liège, in the east of Belgium.

Although it looks deserted in the evening, Coo attracts lots and lots of visitors during the day. The main attraction is its waterfall.

With its 15 meters of height, the waterfall of Coo is known to be the highest waterfall in Belgium. This claim is actually false; the highest one is located in Reinhardstein, but few Belgians are aware of this. Thus, Coo keeps on attracting lots of tourists.

By the way, opposite the waterfall is a popular attraction park. At the moment of our visit, it was closed.

It was time to leave Coo…

Lars and I didn’t feel like leaving this beautiful area though, so we hung around at the surrounding countryside. The sun was about to set and a mist was rolling in, enveloping the grazing cows.

This is Belgian nature at its most beautiful.

Most visitors come to Coo by car; there is ample but quite expensive parking space. An alternative is to come by train.
