Arriving In Todtnau

On Sunday, it had been our plan to go to the center of Freiburg and have breakfast with a glass of Champagne. But it didn’t happen.

Our Saturday evening celebrations had gotten a bit out of hand; we stayed up too late and drank a little bit too much alcohol. As a result, we woke up a lot later than we had expected and we both had a terrible headache. Breakfast didn’t seem to attract us anymore. We decided to leave Freiburg and go to Todtnau.

As soon as we got out of the car, and felt the fresh mountain air and the warm sunshine, Lars and I started to feel better. And so, we went for a walk.

Ah, walks with a hangover – I know the feeling. Many’s the time I have wandered around Brussels after a night in the Keltica or Kafka. Good times! 😀

It happens for me too, as you see. But I always regret the last glass and wished, I had avoided the hangover.

When I was young, I dreamt about studying in Freiburg. And I was there some time. But it didn’t succeed with the studying. By the way, I studied in Lübeck instead. But I was there time enough to become very fond of the city. And I always hope to come back somehow
