Nyborg Fjord

This is without any doubt my favorite place in Nyborg.

In February I was simply freezing when I took my pictures here. Three months later the weather conditions had greatly improved and I could take my time. And I wasn’t trembling!

I like the tranquility of this place: the small boats, the absence of waves, the birds, the intense blue and green, the platforms and small narrow bridges that have seen better days.

It is peaceful. Even with windy weather, you can walk there without becoming wet. The fjord lies protected there.

That looks a wonderful place. Is it one of the sites where they filmed scenes for the TV Series The Killing? Looks familiar.

    • fgh47 June 27, 2013 at 11:00 am

I have never seen that series. But maybe they have used it. It is a small and very unknown place, so it is unlikely that anybody from abroad could find it. We only found it, because my mother lives in Nyborg, or else we would probably have missed it.

Ah, thank you. I perhaps should have mentioned that the TV series called The Killing is actually a Danish series called Forbrydelsen starring Sofie Grabol which has been translated into English and proven very popular over here.

It looks amazing – can see why it’s your favourite place.

DK has a coastline of about 5000 km. Not all of it is valid for swimming. And some of it is at small deserted islands. But for a country of only 43000 square km, you can say, it is a long coastline. These square km’s are naturally without Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
So this small place makes some km’s to the entire coast.

I’m so looking forward to being by the coast again! Lovely photos.

It is the north of Europa, and there is a special light there, and of course the landscapes at the seasides are special. And it changes a lot, depending on the place you are
